  • What kind of information will I receive about providers?
    Parents receive the provider's name, phone number, and social media profile to help them make informed decisions.
  • How quickly will I receive provider details after submitting a request?
    Response times are usually under an hour and continue to improve for even faster matches.
  • Is Speedysitter only for last-minute childcare needs?
    Speedysitter is designed to help with last-minute situations, like when your regular provider is unavailable, but it’s also great for occasional care, such as date nights or other one-time needs.
  • How and when are providers paid?
    Before starting the service, parents and sitters should agree on payment details that work best for both parties. Speedysitter does not handle payments, leaving families and providers free to choose their preferred method, such as cash, Zelle, or Venmo. We recommend confirming these arrangements ahead of time to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for everyone.
  • What happens if a provider doesn’t show or a family cancels?
    Clear communication is essential to creating a positive experience for everyone. Providers are expected to respond promptly to family inquiries and keep their phones nearby once contacted, ensuring consistent communication until an arrangement is confirmed or the opportunity is declined. Families should also notify providers of any cancellations as soon as possible. To maintain trust and reliability in the Speedysitter network, a three-strike policy applies to both providers and families. Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in the loss of access to Speedysitter services, with no refund provided. By prioritizing open communication and mutual respect, we can help ensure a smooth experience for everyone involved.
  • How is my information protected?
    All provider and parent information is securely transmitted and stored. Identification forms are retained only for identity verification and discarded afterward. Other details are used solely for matching purposes.
  • Is Speedysitter safe?
    Speedysitter is designed to connect families with providers quickly and easily by providing direct contact details, including their name, phone number, and social media profile. We take steps to verify sitters’ identities to enhance trust, but it’s important for parents to perform their own due diligence. We encourage providers to speak with parents beforehand, ask any questions they have, and follow standard safety precautions, such as sharing their plans with a trusted friend or family member. Speedysitter offers a simple way for families and providers to connect, empowering them to make informed decisions that meet their unique needs.
